Rico Mertens is a rider and motorcycle enthusiast who, further to his intimate knowledge of racing fairing design has developed techniques and recipes that enable him to create some of the best racing fairings on the market. His company "Rico Racing Research" distributed these exceptional fairings under the CRC Fairings brand. Still passionate about racing, Rico continued to race regularly and was the victim of a racing accident that left him on a hospital bed in a long coma from which he was able to recover, even if he still suffer from some after-effects. During this hospitalization, a third party filed the trademark without the knowledge of its hospitalized creator. In order to continue to create and distribute Rico Mertens' creations, which were previously marketed under the CRC brand, the RM Fairings by Rico Mertens brand was created.
